Travel With the Storms began with a feeling we could not shake.

For years, we did all the things you are supposed to do. We worked hard. We built a life that looked good on paper. We checked the boxes, followed the plans, and told ourselves we would slow down or travel more someday. But that someday always felt just out of reach.

Eventually, we realized something simple but powerful. If we kept waiting for the perfect time, it was never going to come.

So we made a decision that changed everything.

How We Got Started

We sold our house, downsized our life, and chose to live full time in an RV with our family. Not because it was easy. Not because it was trendy. But because we wanted our days to feel full instead of rushed, intentional instead of automatic, and connected instead of constantly distracted.

Travel With the Storms is where we share what that decision actually looks like in real life.

The beautiful parts and the hard parts.
The freedom and the learning curves.
The growth that happens when you choose a different path.

We are a full time RV family navigating life on the road with kids, work, routines, school, and everything in between. We believe travel does not have to wait until retirement. We believe kids learn just as much from experiences as they do from books. We believe time together matters more than square footage.

Our days are not perfect. Some mornings are slow and peaceful. Some days feel chaotic. Sometimes the weather changes our plans. Sometimes the rig smells like last night’s dinner and we have to open every window just to survive. But every single day reminds us why we chose this life.

This blog is a place for honesty.

You will find stories about where we travel, what it is really like living in an RV full time, how we roadschool while moving from place to place, and how we work remotely to support this lifestyle. We share what we learn as we go, what works for our family, and what we wish we had known before we started.

We also share the mindset shifts that came with letting go of a traditional path and building something different. Choosing flexibility over predictability. Choosing experiences over things. Choosing presence over pressure.

I did not always plan to live this life. If anything, this life kept whispering to me long before I was brave enough to listen.

I am a mom who wanted more presence, more freedom, and more meaning in the everyday moments that used to slip by too fast. I felt that quiet pull so many women feel. The one that says there has to be another way to live, work, and raise our kids without constantly feeling rushed, stretched thin, or disconnected from ourselves.

What started as a desire for flexibility slowly turned into a bigger calling. I wanted to build something that allowed me to be fully present with my family while still contributing, creating, and growing. I wanted to show my kids what it looks like to design a life intentionally instead of following a path just because it is familiar.

Today, I live and work remotely while traveling full time with my family. I help other moms and families see what is possible when you give yourself permission to explore a different way of living and earning. Whether someone is already on the road, dreaming about RV life, or simply craving more freedom and control over their time, my goal is always the same. To make this feel doable, grounded, and real.

This space is not about perfection or overnight success. It is about taking the first step even when it feels scary. It is about learning as you go, building confidence through action, and trusting that you are capable of more than you think. I share our journey honestly so you can see both the beauty and the reality, because courage grows when things feel relatable.
